The refinement of healthcare practices in the context of quality and safety is a crucial aspect of improving outcomes for patients. Examining topics like “The History of Quality”, “Clinical Integration”, “Value Based Care” and “Creating a Culture of Quality”, this curriculum will help train physicians to elevate their thinking around quality and safety, and help them to  ask thought-provoking questions and conduct constructive conversations with other doctors and decision makers.

Overall, Fundamentals of Physician Leadership: Quality keeps the consumer in mind while covering the history of quality and safety’, their effect on current health reform, and strategies to identify the components needed to develop a culture of training.
