Leading in times of disruption is a challenge that many physicians would rather sidestep. However, regardless of the type or cause, experiences tell us that every crisis must go through the following phases: (1) mitigation, (2) preparedness, (3) response, and (4) recovery. The first stage in planning for emergency and disaster events is to assess the practice’s vulnerability. Planning and preparedness is the next stage, followed by drafting policies and procedures to implement the plan. Finally, a system for returning to pre-crisis operations should materialize. This one-day session addresses the facets of crisis management that are essential for continuity of practice operations.

Course Dates:

  • Day 1: Friday, October 30, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
