2019 Winter Fundamentals of Physician Leadership: Series

Leadership isn’t a destination – it’s an ongoing journey.

This course series represents the first (and most critical) step of your transformation from contributor to leader. Over the course of three days, you will work with industry experts to create custom leadership development plans, explore the attributes of effective leaders, and study proven negotiation techniques. After you've completed these live courses, you'll be able to take our online courses on finance, quality, and communication. 

Plus, to support your educational goals and personalize your journey, you will complete our CPI260 competency based psychometric assessment to help you identify any leadership blind spots.

 

    Thursday Jan. 24 – Fundamentals: Influence: 8am – 4:30pm

    •  This course will guide you towards better understanding your core values and vision, so you can inspire and better lead those around you.

     

    Friday Jan. 25 – Fundamentals: Negotiation: 8am – 4:30pm

    • Learn to become a negotiation master with this course that will equip you with the proper tools needed to enter any situation with a strategy that maximizes the outcomes for all involved parties.

     

    Saturday Jan. 26 – Wrap-up: 8am – 11:30am

    • After attending these two live courses, you’ll go over the tools and techniques you have learned with your physician leader peers.

    Method Of Participation 

    To complete this program successfully and claim credit, participants must follow these steps: 

    • Read the educational objectives provided on the course summary page
    • Attend the sessions or watch all the video lectures for this course (if applicable)
    • Read any course materials and complete any required activities
    • Complete the course evaluation and post-test via your dashboard on the Association website. Successful completion of a given activity’s post-test requires a minimum 75% passing score prior to claiming CME credit, with three attempts allowed
    • CME certificates will be available for printing after claiming CME credit
    • Estimated time for course completion is equivalent to the CME credit hours

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellation policy: Registrations are eligible for a full refund or transfer to another course (that occurs within 12 months) for up to 72 hours after purchase. A $100 processing fee applies to cancellations or transfers after 72 hours, but before the cancellation deadline of January 3, 2019. Cancellations after January 3. 2019, are not eligible for refund or transfer.

    Registrations may not be transferred to another person at any time. All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Refunds or transfers are not available if testing has occurred or CME has been claimed.
