Enroll in the Fundamentals of Physician Leadership series and receive a well-rounded education in all matters related to leadership and influence in the health care industry. This series includes four live courses at the Fall Institute that explore communication, negotiation, quality, and influence. This series also includes one class on finance that can be completed online when you return home. Once you complete this series, you’ll have the tools needed to strengthen your organization’s values, improve team performance, and streamline processes.

        Fundamentals of Physician Leadership: Communication

        • Interpret non-verbal cues and specific words that can communicate intent
        • Determine personal communication style and personality type

        • Define and apply basic concepts of finance

         Fundamentals of Physician Leadership: Negotiation

        • Uncover the proven step-by-step structure to negotiate anything
        • Analyze the three parameters that keep negotiators protected during a discussion
        • Understand exactly when to walk away from a negotiation
        • Develop strategies to create win/win situations for all parties

         

         Fundamentals of Physician Leadership: Quality

        • Assess quality as it relates to a consumer-centric health care system
        • Examine the elements of quality improvement theories and frameworks
        • Understand how the history of quality and safety have impacted current health reform
        • Identify the components needed to develop a culture of training

         

         Fundamentals of Physician Leadership: Influence

        • Identify core values which guide leadership styles and decision making
        • Discover current leadership level and potential personal impact
        • Explore processes for leading a team, tribe, and organization
        • Develop strategies to maximize productivity of teams and individuals

        Method Of Participation 

        To complete this program successfully and claim credit, participants must follow these steps: 

        • Read any course materials and complete any required activities
        • Complete the course evaluation and post-test via your dashboard on the Association website. Successful completion of a given activity’s post-test requires a minimum 75% passing score prior to claiming CME credit, with three attempts allowed
        • CME certificates will be available for printing after claiming CME credit

        Cancellation Policy

        Cancellation policy: Registrations are eligible for a full refund or transfer to another course (that occurs within 12 months) for up to 72 hours after purchase. A $100 processing fee applies to cancellations or transfers after 72 hours, but before the cancellation deadline of January 3, 2019. Cancellations after January 3. 2019, are not eligible for refund or transfer.

        Registrations may not be transferred to another person at any time. All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Refunds or transfers are not available if testing has occurred or CME has been claimed.
