Clinical Decision Support

Electronic health records are an important piece in patient care. But a robust approach to improvement requires more than information technology. There are many kinds of decision support, and clinical decision support has the potential to improve care. You’ll learn current applications of clinical decision support, the challenges in knowledge engineering and interface development, and the role of the government and research in overcoming obstacles to effective use of CDS.
