Physician leaders will explore the potential of big data to enhance macro environments, such as population health. The curriculum also covers micro environments, such as evidence-based personalized care. Case studies will explore the value of predictive analytics and the use of data warehouses.Topics include:• The potential effect from the analysis of big data collected in the health care environment• The analytic competencies used at Carolina HealthCare System in its appropriation of patient data• Individual case studies to observe the effectiveness of data integration on multiple levels• The physical technology associated with handling health care information using structures (such as a data warehouse)
