Advanced CMO Accelerator
The Advanced CMO Accelerator
Lead with financial authority. Think like a strategist. Command AI.
2-DAY LIVE IN PERSON ACCELERATOR - November 13-14 from 8am-5pm
Location: Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) in Tampa FL
You've mastered the clinical side of leadership. Now the enterprise demands more. The Advanced CMO Accelerator is an intensive, peer-driven experience designed exclusively for chief medical officers with two or five years in the seat designed by healthcare leaders for physicians who are ready to stop operating at the edge of the C-suite and start shaping it. Over two focused days, you'll develop financial fluency, strategic command, and AI readiness to lead with the same authority in the boardroom as you bring to the bedside.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Objectives are developed through case-based and scenario learning throughout the program and culminate in a peer-reviewed, AI-assisted 90-day execution plan.
|
1 |
Analyze — Level 4 Financial Leadership Analyze health system financial performance data — including operating margins, capital allocation decisions, and cost structures — to identify key drivers of financial risk and opportunity and articulate their implications for clinical strategy. Developed through financial case scenarios where participants dissect real health system situations and practice the reasoning a CFO and board expect from their CMO. |
|
2 |
Evaluate — Level 5 Strategic Mindset Evaluate competing organizational priorities and stakeholder positions to determine where clinical leadership can most effectively drive enterprise value — and where trade-offs must be made, defended, and communicated across the C-suite. Explored through strategic scenario exercises that simulate the ambiguity and political complexity CMOs navigate in real board and leadership team settings. |
|
3 |
Evaluate — Level 5 AI in Practice Appraise AI initiatives, CMIO proposals, and vendor recommendations using an executive oversight lens — judging clinical validity, organizational readiness, and strategic fit while maintaining appropriate accountability for AI governance as the senior clinical executive. Built through case-based scenarios that put participants in the chair of a CMO being briefed by a CMIO — practicing the questions, the pushback, and the decisions that role demands. |
|
4 |
Analyze — Level 4 AI in Practice · Financial Leadership Examine how AI tools can be applied to strategic planning, financial modeling, and scenario analysis — distinguishing where AI accelerates and sharpens executive decision-making from where human judgment, context, and accountability must lead. Grounds the theoretical in the practical: participants work directly with AI tools during sessions, stress-testing outputs against their own organizational knowledge. |
|
5 |
Create — Level 6 All Pillars Construct a personalized 90-day execution plan — using AI as a drafting and synthesis tool and peer cohort feedback to stress-test assumptions, anticipate organizational barriers, and refine priorities into actions that are realistic within their own leadership context. The capstone synthesis of the program. Participants leave with a working plan they built — not a template — shaped by what they learned, what their AI tool surfaced, and what their peers challenged. |
|
BUILT IN CAPSTONE EXPERIENCE · FINAL SESSION BLOCK From insight to execution: the 90-day plan In the final hours of the accelerator, participants shift from learning to doing. Using their own AI tool, they input key insights from the program alongside the realities of their organization to generate a draft 90-day plan. That draft then becomes the focus of structured peer dialogue. 1. Use AI to synthesize program learning and organizational context into a draft execution plan 2. Present the draft to a small peer group for structured critique and challenge 3. Identify real-world blockers — political, cultural, financial — the AI couldn't anticipate 4. Revise and sharpen the plan based on peer insight before leaving the room |
