Abstract
Unfortunately, change comes very slowly to healthcare. Innovation is not readily accepted, and the introduction of new technology and new medical treatment methods often is met with challenges and obstacles. The status quo and the “not invented here” attitude are the usual responses to innovation in healthcare. This article discusses the concept of disruptive innovation and offers suggestions for introducing disruptive innovation in modern healthcare.
