Presented by: Mike Sacopulos

On April 23, 2024, The Federal Trade Commission ruled non-compete agreements will be banned due to impact upon the United States’ labor markets. But the ruling is more complex than simply voiding all non-compete agreements. In 570 pages, the Commission covers the scope of its jurisdiction exceptions to its general ruling, and addresses potential “work arounds” and related agreements. This fast-paced webinar focuses on the rulings' impact on practicing physicians. Issues are discussed from both the employee and employer perspectives. Objectives: 1) Analyze the applicability of the FTC’s ruling for physicians; 2) Determine other employer/employee agreements which now may be banned; 3) Explore alternatives to non-compete agreements; and 4) Recognize the interplay between state and federal law on non-compete agreements.
